About Me

I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor registered with the BACP. I trained at Re-Vision in London and qualified with a diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Counselling. Prior to setting up private practice, I worked at the Psychosynthesis Trust in London and Mind in Enfield & Barnet, as a volunteer. Continuing my professional development, I am undertaking the advanced diploma training in psychotherapy at Re-Vision, accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

My background in psychology led me to a former career in education. For many years I specialised in teaching children and young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties who are either at risk of exclusion, or have been excluded from school. I have also trained school staff in in trauma perceptive practice, ADHD and autism, and consulted with school leaders to support them to develop their inclusive Special Educational Needs and Disability practice.

Working with children and young people who have experienced trauma was supported by my own personal therapy journey over a decade, which I have found to be transformative. My experience inspired me to train as a counsellor and as a psychotherapist.

Having diagnosed chronic health conditions throughout my whole adult life, I have a particular interest in what it means to be living with dis-ease and dis-ability, whether these are visible to others or hidden, physical or otherwise. It feels important to me to welcome a discussion about any adaptations you might need to support you to access therapy. Please do let me know whether this is something that would be helpful to discuss prior to meeting,

Psyche Matters therapist Kiranadhi

I am an ordained Buddhist and was given my name Kiranadhi in 2021 in a special ritual ceremony, after several years of Buddhist training. I have studied and practiced Buddhism for 16 years and have integrated this throughout my approach to life.  I welcome people with all faiths and spiritual practices, or none,

In 2019 I undertook the six-month River of Soul course which synthesises group psychotherapy process with myth, fairy-tales and dreamwork. I have also trained in focusing and non-violent communication.

Nature and the 'other than human' is important to me, and creating spaces for wildlife to thrive.  I engage with embodied practices that ground me in the here and now in present moment awareness, and I enjoy poetry and myths that breathe intuition and the visionary into experience.

And did you get what you wanted from this life, even so?

I did.

And what did you want?

To call myself beloved, to feel myself beloved on the earth.
